For over eight years Thomas Kern has lived and worked in the United States. During this time he attempted through numerous travels and reportages to get a grasp of a land that has been documented many times before. More than 70 years after Walker Evans and 50 years after Robert Franks “The Americans” Thomas Kern succeeds with his poignant and laconic black/white photographs to convey an authentic yet disparate image of present day America.
